Musha Shugyo 3, Printer Friendly Version

Posted on July 12, 2009

Well we have managed to deal with the blockade that was preventing access to Musha Shugyo, a devious Spider must have directed some foul Shadowlands spawn to block the pass.

To make it up to you the printer friendly version of issue 3 is now available from the downloads section.

Issue 3 - Nonhumans

Posted on June 17, 2009

Musha Shugyo Issue 3 Nonhumans CoverIt has been some time, and given the weather (at least up here) we can’t really blame heavy snows this time. Perhaps a bad harvest hindered us? Maybe a rock slide? Whatever the case Issue 3 is now available and full to bursting of Nonhuman goodness.

Naga, Nezumi, Kenku, Shapeshifters and more, all have been given some attention. You may recall that we told you issue 2 was double sized and the biggest issue we ever planned to do - well it seems our courtiers were glossing over the truth with their sincere smiles, this issue clocks in at 122 pages.

We hope you enjoy and offer humble apologies for the delay, the responsible eta will be beaten and dishonourably executed. As always we would greatly appreciate any and all feedback.

Musha Shugyo Forum

Posted on March 11, 2009

House of the Fallen BlossomIssue 3 is progressing rapidly and should be available soon, in the meantime however we would like to welcome you to the Musha Shugyo Forum (http://forum.musha-shugyo.com/). Here you can ask any questions you may have about Musha Shugyo, give us feedback on what you like, don’t like or would like, and just generally mingle with your fellow L5Rers. A ‘role playing’ forum has also been set up where you are free to start up your own Play by Post threads and where hopefully we may be running some of our own.

We all hope to see you there soon.

Musha Shugyo Questionnaire

Posted on January 9, 2009

Scroll CacheAs in the past, poor weather has hampered our progress on Musha Shugyo, Issue 3. The terrible winter which has afflicted us has left many of our scribes and scholars holed up in their respective clan courts.

Look forward to a preview in the near future, and in the meantime we hope you will take the time from your busy schedules to give us some feedback on our humble fanzine.

A questionnaire is available in two parts (due to the restraints of where the questionnaire is hosted):

Musha Shugyo Questionnaire, Part 1
Musha Shugyo Questionnaire, Part 2

Your answers will help us guide the future development of Musha Shugyo.

The Heaven’s Will, Musha Shugyo (preview)

Posted on August 23, 2008

The Heaven's Will - Musha ShugyoCompliments of Todd, a special preview of the next CCG set ‘The Heaven’s Will’. This particular card is close to our hearts for obvious reasons.

With the recent upheaval in the Celestial Heavens and the unbalance throughout the Empire a new Emperor is more vital than ever - to restore order and unite the Clans once more.

Due out this coming September, and fully legal for the upcoming Samurai Championships Global Events this year; for more information (and more previews) head over to the official Legend of the Five Rings site here.

Update (27/08/08): Acording to Todd this card was actually made specifically for Musha Shugyo, our very own vanity card. Many thanks to AEG for the honour.

Server Issues

Some of you may have noticed that the website has been a bit intermittent over the past few hours. I offer my apologies, it seems to have been working reliably for the past half an hour or so and I am hopeful that it will remain working.

Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot
Order will return.

Issue 2 - The Minor Clans (double edition)

Posted on August 17, 2008

Musha Shugyo - Issue 2 - CoverYou may recall that way back in March we said you could expect issue 2 of Musha Shugyo in June - if it’s not already apparent, that never happened, alas heavy snows hindered our progress.

To make it up to you this issue is a bumper sized double edition, it was necessary to fully detail all of the Minor Clans. So with no further delays Musha Shugyo Issue 2, The Minor Clans is now available for download!

Issue 3 will be taking a look at the non-humans of Rokugan, you can expect to see Nezumi put though a maze and a whole pit full of Naga to name but a few. Last of all, don’t forget about this issue’s competition - full details are in the download.

Update: The printer friendly version is now available in the downloads section.

Contest Winners

Posted on July 31, 2008

You may recall that in issue 1 of Musha Shugyo a contest was announced for readers to develop a Path establishing a bridge between two clans, be it a Great Clan and a Minor Clan or two Minor Clans.

My carefully placed agents have managed to acquire the results of this competition and relay them to me.

So, here are the three winning paths for the first Musha Shugyo competition along with two other entries that deserve an honorable mention.

Our thanks to all the participants, it was enjoyable and we do hope you will return for issue 2’s contest.

Musha Shugyo #2 - Homebrew Competition

Posted on March 2, 2008

Badger Follower and Iron Crane - By Steve ArgyleMany of the Minor Clans maintain a special relationship with one or more Great Clans. The Minor Clans Alliance recently promoted increased collaboration between them as well.

This contest proposes to reflect these alliances with specially designed new Paths. The only rule is that the Path must establish a bridge between two clans, either between a Great and a Minor Clan (either way) or between two Minor Clans, via the path of entry and the path of egress. Of course, such a Path also needs to make sense in the world of Rokugan.

Each contestant can submit up to three new Paths, and the deadline for the contest is the 1st of May 2008. Send your entries to contact@musha-shugyo.com. The winning Path will be published in Musha Shugyo #2, in the Dojo section. Depending on the number of entries, we might publish up to 3 winners.

We are waiting for your creations!
